These are quiet servers. Europe holds about three fifths of the players and North America the rest, so pick by ping first. Roughly half of the servers with enough wipe history only wipe at the monthly force wipe; the rest follow a published schedule, wipe irregularly, or reset the map every few hours. A primitive Rust server runs Facepunch's Primitive game mode, which removes guns. Players fight with bows, spears and melee weapons. The mode is Facepunch's own, but a server can still be official, community or modded depending on what else it changes.
Do primitive Rust servers have guns?
No. The Primitive game mode removes guns, so combat is limited to bows, spears and melee weapons. A server that advertises as primitive but spawns firearms is not running the actual Primitive mode.
How often do primitive Rust servers wipe?
Most primitive servers publish a monthly schedule, and many of those with enough history only wipe at the monthly force wipe. A few run biweekly or irregular wipes, and some reset the map every few hours as resets rather than full wipes.
Are primitive Rust servers vanilla?
The Primitive game mode is not the same as vanilla. None of these servers use the vanilla difficulty tag, and just over half are listed in the Modded tab, meaning they change something like gather rates or stack sizes. The mode still keeps guns out regardless.
